People always talk about James/Sirius, or Remus/Lily, but can we talk about Lily and Sirius for a sec??
•Little first year Sirius, confessing to Lily Evans that he doesn’t care about gender, he just likes personality.
•2nd year Lily, crying in Sirius arms because her sister told her never to talk to her again. And Sirius is the best person for comfort because he knows what it’s like to be hurt by your family.
•Lily Evans, being the first person to find out about the abuse at the Black house, helping Sirius cure his bruises in secret, because he makes her swear she will never tell.
•Lily Evans, not disliking James Potter as much as everyone thinks because he is Sirius’s best friend, so he must be ok.
•Sirius Black, hugging Lily tighter than the others because she deserves it more.
•Sirius and Lily having monthly movie nights, where they talk about their love lives that may or may not be full of James Potter and Remus Lupin
•Sirius Black, confessing to Lily first that he has feelings for Remus
•Lily Evans, confessing to Sirius that she has liked James for years
•Sirius Black wanting to kill Severus Snape after 5th year Lily Evans comes to him sobbing because he called her a ‘filthy mudblood’
•Lily and Sirius almost always falling asleep on the couch together after rough days, to which Remus Lupin has to supply the blankets
•Lily and Sirius braiding each other’s hair
•Lily painting Sirius’s nails black because she loves how he doesn’t give a fuck about gender roles
•Sirius always kissing Lily’s cheek before he leaves a room because it’s sort of their good bye
•Lily cussing Sirius out for eloping and not inviting her
•Lily (And James) demanding Sirius be the best man in their wedding, because who else would it be??
•Sirius swearing to Lily he will protect Harry Potter. Even if it cost him his life.
•Sirius Black writing Lily every other day, conversing about him and Remus’s adventures, and about Harry
•Sirius Black, loving Lily Evans more than Severus Snape ever could. Because his wasn’t love. It was selfishness
•Sirius Black still having movie night with Lily, even when she has a kid
•Sirius and Lily still falling asleep on the Potter’s couch a lot, times where Remus and James would bask in how cute their partners still were
•Sirius begging Lily to take him and Remus’s daughter bra shopping because she simply can’t take it
•Lily still calling Sirius ‘Siri’ after so many years
•Lily and Sirius having the best, and most underapreciated friendship out of the group
